Property tax is a tax paid to municipalities by the owners of immovable properties (house, land, workplace, etc.). Municipal cashiers:Pay by cash or credit card by going to the municipality to which the property is affiliated

Relevant municipality's website: Many municipalities are open to online payment systems. Payment can be made by credit card by entering your TR ID number or real estate information. e-Government or Revenue Administration (GİB) Interactive Tax Office: Payments can also be made through these platforms. You can also make payments from some banks' internet or mobile branches by selecting the "Municipal Tax Payments" section and entering your TR ID number along with the name of the province and municipality.

Payment Deadline

Property tax is paid in two installments every year. Generally, the first installment is paid in March-May and the second installment is paid in November.The deadline for the second installment payments of property tax, which is a concern for millions of real estate owners across Türkiye, is approaching. The last day for the 2025 second installment payments of property taxes paid to municipalities has been determined as Sunday, November 30, 2025. Property owners must complete their payments by this date to avoid being penalized. Property tax payments can be made at municipal cash desks, through the official websites of municipalities, through e-Government or the Interactive Tax Office of the Revenue Administration. Taxpayers who pay their taxes after the specified date will be charged a late fee of 3.5 percent per month during the delay period.
